How often do groups meet?

Groups meet twice per month throughout the program year, which runs from September through May.

What happens during a Bloom gathering?

Gatherings may include meaningful conversations, activities, encouragement, discussion topics relevant to girls today, prayer, mentorship, and relationship-building in a welcoming environment.

Is Bloom only for girls who are struggling?

Not at all. Bloom is for any girl who would benefit from positive mentorship, encouragement, community, and guidance during important developmental years.

Is Bloom connected to a church?

Bloom is faith-based and rooted in biblical truth, but girls do not need to attend church or have a specific background to participate.

Are mentors trained?

Yes. Bloom mentors receive training, guidance, and ongoing support to help them mentor girls well and create safe, healthy group environments.

Are background checks required?

Yes. All Bloom mentors are required to complete a background check before participating.

Where do groups meet?

Many groups meet in warm, welcoming home environments or community spaces. Mentor homes are located in Harrison, Ohio.

No Cost to Families

Is there a cost to participate? Bloom is currently offered at no cost to participating families thanks to generous support and donations.

How do I apply for my daughter?

Parents or guardians can fill out the contact form, and someone from Bloom will follow up with next steps.

Can girls request to be grouped with a friend?

We will do our best to honor requests when possible while also creating healthy and balanced groups.

What if my daughter is quiet or nervous?

That is completely okay. Bloom is intentionally designed to create a safe, welcoming environment where girls build trust over time.

Does Bloom offer one-on-one mentorship?

In certain situations, yes. One-on-one mentorship may be offered when it is the best fit for a girl’s personality or needs.

What qualities do you look for in mentors?

We look for women who are caring, dependable, and passionate about investing in the next generation of girls.
